Carol Lynn

4/6/44 - 1/8/25

Carol Lynn, 80, of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 at Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida. Carol was born on April 6, 1944 in Bronx, NY to Morris Myers and Sylvia Kerzner. Carol was a free-spirit and kind woman who spent her life deeply caring for others. She moved from NY to Florida in the 80s and had a fruitful career in the medical billing industry. Her love for her family was contagious, always making everyone around her feel good and supported. Outside of work and family, she had a deep love for all animals - volunteering at the Humane Society of Citrus County and adopting as many dogs and cats as she could throughout her life. She also enjoyed thrifting and flea markets and spent many days finding a good bargain with her granddaughters. While her battle with Parkinson’s was long and hard, she spent every day fighting through it as best as she could. Her strength through this time was admirable as she did everything she could to keep her independence for as long as she could. She is predeceased by her parents, Morris Myers and Sylvia Kerzner and late husband, Alvin Lynn. Carol is survived by her son, Michael Hassler, her daughter, Susan Higgins and her husband Richard Higgins, her three grandchildren, Amanda, Melissa, and Kimberly Higgins, and her two sisters, older sister Janet Dearth and twin sister Paula Foxx. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly. As Carol loved animals with all of her heart, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a Humane Society of choice in Carol’s honor. Carol will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing life’s moments with her. While gone, her legacy will live on through her deeply passionate roots for family, laughter, and friendship. Per her wishes, Carol will be cremated and her ashes taken to the waters in Boston Massachusetts at a later date.
