Catherine Williams Dennington passed away on October 4th, 2023 at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, FL. She was born on December 14th, 1951 in Astoria, Queens, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Glenn and Florence White Fink, her husband Patrick Williams and daughter, Rachel Williams Sayyed.
She is survived by four brothers; Fred, Jamie, John and Carl Fink, partner of 36 years Steve Dennington, three sons; Jacob Williams, Nicholas Dennington, Wyatt Dennington and 10 grandchildren (Gwyneth, Braiden, P.J., Rylee, Kalleigh, Logan, Nathan, Waverly, Adalynn and Ezra).
Two highlights of Catherine’s life were a solo flight from New York to Dallas at age 6 to visit her paternal grandparents; J. B. and Louisa Fink along with aunts, uncles and cousins. Then she traveled at the age of 19 with her maternal great-grandmother, “Molly” Cannon to County Galway, Ireland for an extended visit of maternal relatives.
Before illness forced early retirement, Catherine worked for MedQuist Inc. for over 12 years where she met and maintained 20+ year friendships with Alesia Garrett and Beth Norse McWhorter.
A memorial service will be held at North Oak Baptist Church in Citrus Springs, FL on October 21st at 3pm. Immediately following, a gathering to celebrate Catherine’s life will also be held at the church. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to North Oak Baptist Church for hosting the service.
