Gerald Glenn Hunter

Gerald (Jerry) Glenn Hunter, loving husband, proud father and grandfather passed away at his residence in Spring Hill, FL on May 29, 2020 at the age of 69.  Jerry is survived by wife Alicia Broussard Hunter, his children Tamara Dean & husband Pete, Shane A Hunter, Brandon Hunter & wife Carly, Meaghan Hanley and husband Nikolaos, his grandchildren Nate Paris, Colton Hunter, Bryleigh Hunter, Hunter Hanley, his siblings Kathy Bowman & husband Danny, Pamela Wellendorf and husband Ronald, Brad Hunter and wife Annie.   Predeceased by Parents Glen & June Hunter, Sister Patricia Lankford, and Son Gregory Allen Hunter.
Jerry served in the Marine Corp for three years discharged as a Private E-1 during the Vietnam War.  He was employed by Square D, Spartan Electronics and Thomas & Betts, as a production manager. 
Jerry and I enjoyed taking spontaneous weekend road trips, visiting small out of the way towns with friends.  Also known to enjoy trips to Las Vegas to visit family, casinos and shows.  Jerry was meticulous about our home. He was proud of the fact that he was able to take care of me.  He was a prankster and loved to make everyone laugh.  Most of Jerry’s time was spent making me happy.  He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Spring Hill, FL on June 27th at 1:00pm. Mask will be required during service.  In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to:  HPH Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd, Hudson, FL  34667.
