Larry Silverman

Larry Erwin Silverman, 70, went to be with the Lord at his home in Hernando, FL on Sunday, April 8th. Larry was the son of Erwin and Irene Silverman, of Grand Rapids, MI and the eldest of three children. Larry attended Northview High School, where he met the love of his life, Corinne Hollenbeck. Larry and Corinne married and started their family in Michigan. 
After dedicating his life to Jesus, Larry pursued a lifelong career in the ministry. In his later years, Larry and Corinne spent several years traveling the country spreading the good news of God's grace. Eventually Larry was called to settle and pastor New Covenant Grace Fellowship,in Inverness, FL, where he spent his remaining days sharing God's love.
Larry held a Master of Ministry degree and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychology. He was the published author of The River Is Here: My Journey into New Covenant Grace and When God Doesn't Heal: Avoiding Fear, Shame and Condemnation.
Larry's final years were enriched by his mother Irene Silverman, brother Ron (Patti) Silverman, and sister Dawn (Jerry) Roberts. He was blessed by his children, Scott Silverman, Chris (Robin) Silverman, Julie (Louis) Peasley, Stacey (Tim) Rowe, and Ashley (David) Myers. Larry and Corinne also have 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Not only was Larry a fisher of men, but he was also an avid fisher of bass. Spending dawn and dusk trolling the inland lakes for a record largemouth bass was Larry's favorite past time. Traditional black powder shooting was another one of his favorites. One of his most prized possessions was the flint lock muzzleloader that was hand crafted by Larry's eldest son Scott.
There will be a celebration of Larry's life on May 5th, at 11:00 a.m., at Solid Rock Church, 972 N. Christy Way, Inverness.
