Sharon Markwich Blocker, 63 of Homosassa, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, on August 13, 2020 after a fierce 3-year battle with cancer. She was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sharon was lovingly known to her grandchildren as “Granny” and loved them greatly. She has joined her mother, Joan, in heaven along with her Aunt Glenda, and grandmothers Dee Dee and Daisy, who were waiting for her with open arms. Sharon was loved dearly by her daughters, her family, and Lloyd.
Sharon is survived by her father Skip Markwich (Katie), stepfather Howard, her three daughters, Donna, Kelly and Mandy “Pooh” (Dave), her grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby, Sabrina, Emily, Jordan “Jordie” and DJ, her sister Bunny (Jim), her brother Duke (Peggy), her niece Jessie “Little Bit”, her nephews Mark, Dallas and Jamison, great nephews Michael, Landon and Logan and her great niece, Cheyenne.
Sharon left us with a legacy of unshakable courage and kindness, a smile that would light up a room, a sassy personality that was always guaranteed to make you laugh. Throughout her life, Sharon never knew the word “quit.” She was a fighter to the end and will forever and always be in our hearts.
