Suzanne Georgette Madieros, LPN, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away Sept. 2, 2014, at Hospice House in Lecanto. She was 72 years old.
She was born May 21, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Dr. George and Minnie (McMahon) Conde.
Suzanne married her second husband, John Madieros, and both became actively involved with breeding and showing Dalmatians and Chinese Shar Pei. They ran a kennel, Marmich Kennels, out of their Foster, Rhode Island, home. The kennel was named for Suzanne's two children, Marsha and Michael.
Suzanne was past president of the South County Kennel Club Inc., in Rhode Island. She was honored by the state of Rhode Island by having a day named for her because of her work with dogs. She was also show chairwoman for many shows held by the South County Kennel Club. Suzanne and John decided their breeding and showing days were over, so in 2000 they decided to leave their Foster, Rhode Island, home and move to sunny Florida, where they resided in Pine Ridge Estates for the past 14 years. Suzanne and John both joined the Inverness Kennel Club Inc. after settling in Florida. She served as the club's secretary for eight years before diminishing health forced her to retire from her passion in April of 2013.
Suzanne enjoyed traveling all over the world, and especially delighted in accompanying her husband John as he judged at dog shows across the United States.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, John; son Michael Lokcynski of Ohio; daughter Marsha Coleman (husband Brian) of Beverly Hills; grandson Travis George Coleman; and granddaughter Haley A. Coleman, both of Beverly Hills. Suzanne was blessed with a great-grandson, Jacob of Inglis. Suzanne's son Joseph preceded her in death.
Suzanne is also survived by five stepdaughters, Dawn Manchester of Swansea, Massachusetts, Betty Jo Reddick of Mansfield, Tennessee, Michelle Madieros of Warwick, Rhode Island, JoAnn Madieros of Naples, Florida, and Tiffany Rugg of Battle Creek, Michigan. Suzanne's cousin Ronald Irons, of Idaho, was considered like a brother growing up.
McGan Cremation Services of Hernando will handle Suzanne's last wish so that she may be together with her loving husband John when the time is right.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Citrus County Animal Shelter, 4300 S. Airport Road, Inverness, FL 34450, would be greatly appreciated.
