Theodore "Ted" A. Hornaday Sr., 75, of Hernando, Florida, passed away July 6, 2015, under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto. Ted was born Oct. 21, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Theodore and Mary Katherine Hornaday. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway out of San Diego, California. Ted also served the city of Indianapolis, Indiana as a police officer for 26 years. Ted was an avid NASCAR and NFL football fan and had his favorite college football team, Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Martha "Kriss" Hornaday; son, Theodore A. Hornaday Jr., of Monrovia, Indiana; daughter, Katherine M. Atkinson of Indianapolis, Indiana; step-son, Christopher Rohde of Hernando; seven grandchildren, Malery, Shannon, Michael, Jennifer, Savanna, Alysha, and Shelby; four great-grandchildren, Garrett, Farrah, Carson, and Mia; brother, Daniel Hornaday (Judy) of Cloverdale, Indiana; sister, Pam York (John) of Mooresville, Indiana.
